Aerojet Rocketdyne is looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis in either Canoga Park, CA or Sacramento, CA.

The Senior Manager will manage a team responsible for all aspects of functional budgeting and reporting and the development of the company’s Forward Pricing Rates.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

30% - Overhead Cost Management

  • Manage the development of the functional annual overhead budgets

  • Oversee monthly functional reporting and variance analysis

  • Respond to ad hoc data requests from department heads

  • Develop business partner relationships with functional management and leadership

  • Advise on financial matters to help drive efficiencies and cost reductions

20% - Forward Pricing Rates

  • Contribute to and oversee the preparation and submission of the Forward Pricing Rates

  • Drive efficiencies into the development of the rates and the rate model

  • Increase the visibility and understanding of functional management budgets and its impact on the Forward Pricing Rates

  • Support request for rate what if exercises as needed

25% - Financial Management Support

  • Support business case analysis for investment opportunities including capital and IT projects

  • Support site rate reviews and affordability activities

  • Support COE affordability plans and track and monitor savings projections

  • Continuously improve data and metrics reporting utilizing company dashboards and automation tools

25% - People Management

  • Develop a highly efficient and effective team, creating an environment conducive to a high level of engagement and collaboration

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and a minimum of nine (9) years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Oracle and Hyperion Planning is a strong plus. Understanding of government accounting and government contracting is a plus. Strong finance background with the ability to multi-task. Independent, self-motivated individual, who is a team player, has strong management skills and works well under pressure. Demonstrated ability to manage projects, able to prioritize to meet critical deadlines, and focus on work product quality and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with hands on approach to process improvement and effective problem resolution.

Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees in this position must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
