Sales Consultant – Distributor
Allegion is seeking a Distributor Sales Consultant to support the Louisiana region. As the Distributor Sales Consultant, you will leverage your consultative selling approach to develop and maintain relationships with target distributors to influence Allegion’s market share for commercial hardware and electronic security solutions and drive the achievement of organizational goals.
What you will do:
Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers (including sales, marketing, engineering, customer and technical services, and operations)
Partner with all customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction, commitment and loyalty to Allegion products and services leading to increased revenue
Advise customers on products and applications. Suggest new products to achieve customer-specific needs.
Follow up on all job quotes with distributors to secure projects and ensure a favorable mix of Allegion products.
Support business partner initiatives to maximize Allegion market share through coordination, demand creation and strategy sessions.
Participate in joint sales calls and training; attend local, regional and/or national trade shows and association meetings.
Maintain a strategic understanding of market conditions and be able to adapt to maintain a competitive advantage.
Maintain excellent industry and territory knowledge by reviewing and understanding market data of competitive activity. Adapt to change in marketplace.
Maintain and utilize CRM tool for sales reporting and to communicate sales activities.
Ensure proper customers and partners are adequately trained on new and existing products.
Maintain awareness of all Allegion policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure compliance.
What You Need to Succeed:
A minimum of 5 years sales experience; Industry experience an asset
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Expert knowledge of the door, frame and hardware business
Knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, including options spanning from mechanical access/egress control to total facility integration
Basic understanding of electricity and electronic components
Demonstrated experience influencing others with a focus for action
You build strong relationships with a focus on customer experience
You possess strong verbal and written communication skills which attribute to your presentations
Ability to travel up to 20%
