Pfizer Associate, Digital Product Manager, mRNA Vaccines in Remote, United States

ROLE SUMMARY

As a Digital Product Manager Associate, in collaboration with the Vaccine R&D (VRD) Client Partner, you will contribute to the development and assist in maintaining/updating project tasks and milestones for the digital platforms, tools, and technologies supporting the VRD's mRNA platform.

You will learn and establish a deep understanding of VRD workflows focusing on the mRNA programs. Using this knowledge, you will assist in analyzing and interpreting business needs and translate them into powerful, functional, beautiful, and well-integrated software products that generate novel scientific insights, enhance productivity and drive a superior user experience.

You will contribute in a matrixed, cross-functional product team consisting of software, data, and infrastructure engineers, designers, and user supporters, and trainers to deliver by creating or license innovative digital solutions delivering value and impact for VRD.

You will contribute to delivering consistent, stable product operations, and meet all security, stability, usability, performance, and sustainability requirements. You will assist in the promotion of the products, give demos, and prove the impact of your solutions on Pfizer science.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in analyzing business processes and operational workflows to understand user needs and improvement opportunities, solicit, interpret, and synthesize user requirements, and contribute to product design activities to translate these requirements into elegant, workable and well-integrated digital products that maximize value and impact to WRDM.

  • Under supervision, collaborate with the Digital delivery teams and other Digital functions to effectively communicate product requirements and ensure that solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and on value in an agile manner.

  • Define, monitor, and achieve product success and value metrics under supervision.

  • Coordinate with other product and digital teams to ensure a seamless, frictionless, end-to-end user experience.

  • Assist in business case development for continuous investments and contribute to strategic planning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, life sciences, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.

  • Experience in business analysis, product design, and product management skills preferred.

  • Experience working with scientific and/or clinical systems and data.

  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional scientific and technical teams.

  • Ability to navigate through organizational complexity to get the work done.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.

  • Deep empathy for the end-user and a passion for the user experience required.

  • 2+ years of experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in developing and implementing software and data systems for the life sciences.

  • Experience in agile software development and knowledge of modern programming languages and development environments.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • None, primarily office/computer-based work.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Occasional travel to various Pfizer R&D sites.
