  1. Completes all purchase orders for engineering parts, supplies and office supplies.
  2. Assists in scheduling outside contractors for repairs and maintenance for the building maintenance.
  3. Assists in Maintaining and managing TMA work order system. Handling paperwork for work orders, Preventative Maintenance and regulatory documentation thru the computer system.
  4. Complies with all accounting and purchasing policies in processing purchase orders and check requests, including checking the AIG records for each vendor.
  5. Ensures all annual contracts for vendor services are up to date and copies are provided to administration for their records.
  6. Maintains documentation for Key system inventory and department SDS Sheets.

  1. Assists with coordination of hazard surveillance surveys and reports to Environment of Care (EOC) Committee.

  4. Assists in development of policies and procedures to define appropriate safety management practices.
  5. Collaborates with appropriate staff to implement EOC Committee recommendations.
  6. Assist Safety Officer with the integration of Environment of Care monitoring and response activities into the hospital wide patient safety program.
  7. Assure facility is current with all tests and inspections.


  1. Knowledgeable of all department specific policies and procedures, EC Manual, Infection Control, SDS, etc.
  2. Ensures Department/Unit provides positive customer service.

  1. Assist with conducting reviews and participates in staff education programs.
  2. Annual TB Test complete.
  3. Annual Safety Test complete.

  1. Completes reviews of Health-Stream education for all departmental employees and ensures tests are completed in a timely manner as assigned.

Education: AA/AS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience in project management in a hospital setting preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years managerial, planning, and systems analysis management experience with hospital engineering organizational skill knowledge. Demonstrated current knowledge of and expertise complying with regulatory complex requirements of healthcare facilities. Working knowledge of building automation systems. Verbal and written command of the English language. Ability to read and write clear, concise and complete reports and applicable paperwork. Excellent computer skills using MS Word, Excel, Power Point. Professional demeanor and approach to duties.
