What does a great Data Architect do?
Working with the development team, you'll create database design requirements, enhance and support DMSII databases. You will take on a lead systems technical role to develop and support system utilities. Use your strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills to program, test, debug, and review the results, ensuring a quality product is produced.
In this role, you can expect to:
Provide coverage and on-call duties. Provide technical backup of peers and leadership to others as needed.
Ensure engineering team members, Operations and your resource manager are aware of any issues, risks or concerns that may impact projects, clients or team member activities.
Take ownership of your application(s) communications to maintain an open regular dialogue with all parties involved.
Develop and maintain software to company standards, software development methodology and conventions.
Document your program functions and event related activities/processes to ensure quality, repeatability and continuous improvement opportunities.
Interact with other groups in a positive, constructive manner in order to accomplish tasks and overall job responsibilities.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years database design experience
Experience with Unisys A-Series platform
DMSII database experience
3 years of database structure and modeling
Programming experience in ALGOL, WFLs and COMS
