Seeking a Echo Technician for our practice who provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role: GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Performs echocardiology procedures. Operates sonar equipment, maintains, compiles, calculates and prepares findings for physician interpretation and archiving.
Prepares patients for exams, monitors progress and records results. Performs timely procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed. Performs QA on all sonar equipment. Maintains and clean, organized work area. Perform other duties as required Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement, Adheres to established rules, ethical standards, regulations and laws of the speech-hearing profession. Adhere to and practices appropriate infection control policies and procedures.
What Qualifications you will need:
EDUCATION: Requires a certificate from an approved echocardiology program.
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years’ experience is required CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: ARRT certification as required by state regulations CPR certification is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal skill with co-workers, physicians and patients The ability to ensure the accuracy and completeness of work performed. The ability to follow established procedures in performing job functions. The ability to demonstrate a thorough knowledge an understanding of policies and procedures in performing job duties. The ability to perform duties in an independent manner. The ability to assume the responsibility for on-going professional development
