We areseeking an*Infection Prevention Practitioner *for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role: * You will be responsible for identifying, investigating, monitoring, and reporting healthcare-associated infections. * You will collaborate with teams and individuals to create infection prevention strategies, provide feedback, and sustain infection prevention strategies. * You will assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation as directed for the organizational infection prevention program. * You will assist with the annual surveillance plan based on the population(s) served, services provided, and analysis of surveillance data. * You will develop basic knowledge and apply epidemiologic principles to conduct surveillance and investigations. * You will assist with implementation of infection prevention and control policies and protocols. * You will learn and help develop and interpret these policies to key stakeholders * You will communicate infection prevention and control information and data to various committees and healthcare workers across the organization as assigned.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology or related field required
- Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology highly preferred
