The Memorial Health Dwaine and Cynthia Willett Children's Hospital of Savannah is the only children's hospital in southeast Georgia. From the tiniest preemies to the toughest teens, we offer a variety of crucial services. Our expert team provides well-child visits, comprehensive rehabilitation services, surgical care, hematology/oncology, critical care, disease management, child life services and much more. We care for more than 50,000 patients a year.

Our current, 20-bed pediatric unit has a team of specially trained physicians, nurses and child life specialists. We strive to provide state-of-the-art care in a child and family friendly environment. Children in this unit may have anything from a stomach bug and dehydration to an infection requiring IV antibiotics. The medical care team on this unit is equipped to deal with a wide variety of childhood illnesses and injuries.Our 22-bed pediatric special care unit (PSU) is for children who need to stay in the hospital to receive cancer treatment or recover from surgery. The PSU team includes specially certified hematology/oncology physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and child life specialists. They work together to ensure the best possible outcome for every child.

We are looking for a dedicated Ultrasound Tech like you to be a part of our patient-centered Children's Hospital team. Current opportunities range from PRN to full-time on day shift, night shift, weekdays and weekends only.

*What you will do in this role: * * You will perform diagnostic scans and procedures using applied principles and protocols. * You will perform patient identification and follow red rules and invasive procedures process. * You will prepare patient for examination by proper gowning and explanation of procedure to patient. * You will identify patient by both verbal and visual methods as established by the organization. * You will acquire appropriate history from patient as relative to the exam, interview patients for procedures (history/diagnosis) and verifiy physician’s orders. * You will compare radiology requisition with written order before proceeding with exam.

  • NEW GRADUATE:Must be registry eligible. Must complete all parts of registries withARRTSonography (S) orRDMSwithin 6 months from graduating an accredited school or program. NON-NEW GRADUATE:must have current ARRT (S) or RDMSAnd ARRT Mammography (M) within one year of hire - Required.
  • Associates Degree – Preferred
  • Certificate/diploma rom accredited ultrasound school/program required (*If applicant has successfully passed license/Certification prior to graduation, candidate must successfully graduate from an accredited program within current semester of hire date) Memorial Health UMC Savannah opened its doors in 1955 and has since evolved into the most advanced healthcare provider in the region, a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility with 612 total beds.
