Strong customer service skills are a necessity as you will work directly with customers involved in unique life circumstances and hardships. You will be empowered to work directly with our customer and attorneys; this will require critical thinking, problem solving, an ability to think outside the box, and a high degree of empathy and compassion.

The Loss Mitigation Coordinator role will perform a variety of administrative support functions and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. You will accurately set up new accounts and utilize strong organizational and data entry skills to ensure the highest monetary value possible for Ally on its collateral.

Job Responsibilities

  • Verify new accounts

  • Timely route files to appropriate departments

  • Build solid peer-to-peer relationships in a team environment to meet operational needs

  • Perform data entry, system coding, inventory audits, and reconciliations

  • Respond promptly to customer requests as needed

  • Collect information, coordinate activities with others, and resolve issues

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent required

  • Prior experience in financial services or similar industry preferred. Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in business or related may be used as a proxy for the experience

  • Basic knowledge of general/standard office and administrative procedures and methods

  • Data entry and word processing skills

  • Oral and written communication including professional phone etiquette

  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and set priorities

  • Basic understanding of legal terminology preferred
