The Common Software Framework (CSF) product line is looking for an emerging leader to help execute the next generation of High Performance Embedded Computing Solutions at Lockheed Martin Space.

CSF supports major programs and IRADs across all lines of business (LOB) at Lockheed Martin Space including complex beam control/fire control solutions for directed energy systems, artificial intelligence/machine learning applications in electronic warfare systems, hypersonics and counter hypersonic applications and space situational awareness payloads. We execute and deliver a common Software solution for everything from control software, image processing and artificial intelligence. CSF began in the Directed Energy organization to bring together complete SW solutions, inclusive of delivered production software, Simulation HW & SW testbeds and Big Data solutions. The selected candidate will work closely with the CSF architects and Program Managers and other leaders within all CSF deployed solutions.

This position is for an Associate Manager within DE to lead an Agile SW development team. The ideal candidate will be someone who can focus on multiple program executions while rapidly modernizing to position for the future and growth.

Responsibilities include: - Drive execution of the CSF strategy and vision - Manage the development efforts to support multiple program insertions - Advocate continuous process improvement - Utilize collected metrics as objective evidence of project status and forecasted progress as well as for process improvement - Plan and manage project schedules - Provide regular status briefings to program management – Brief new programs and customers about CSF capabilities - Identify technical, cost, and schedule risks – Manage staffing within the CSF team.

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven experience in full life cycle Software Development

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven technical leadership skills with ability to lead a multidisciplinary team

• Experience developing detailed plans in support of technical assignments

• Strong communication skills, written and verbal

• Strong organization skills – ability to prioritize and delegate critical tasks

• Experience in building teams and collaboration

Desired Skills:

• Prior software in developing programs with more than just Flight Software development experience

• Experience as a Control Account Manager

within in an agile development environment

• Experience delivering engineering products and documents to internal or external customers

• Prior engineering management experience including task planning, resource management, and employee development and mentoring

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical systems/programs

• Experience working in technical teams across multiple locations

Integration and test experience with large complex software systems

• Continuous integration experience
