Be a part of the team developing the missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to conflict. As a missile defense Navigation Guidance and Controls (NG&C) manager you will define an organization and build a strong team of individual contributors to plan and successfully execute a missile defense development program. You will be deployed to a Software Senior Manager and work closely with him/her to define the NG&C system architecture. You will be responsible for all NG&C design for the system. This Full Spectrum Leader is disciplined in value-driven Software Engineering and drives design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way. As a leader you will work closely with your customer counterpart to field a strategic system.

Basic Qualifications:

- Technical background in Guidance, Navigation and Controls, model-based software development, and software engineering

- Experience leading small teams on technical programs

- Demonstrated ability to integrate cost, schedule and technical constraints

- Demonstrated ability to interact with DOD customers and build effective relationships

- Active DoD Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

- Experience on a missile or missile defense program such as THAAD

- Experience on a leadership team on a development program

- Experience building new organizations and teams in a program start-up environment

- Experience with the Agile development paradigm

- Experience with embedded flight software development

- Risk & Opportunity Management Experience

- Experience with control account management principles, techniques, and processes

- Experience as a Certified Principal Engineer (CPE)
