Perform a wide variety of expediting tasks to ensure a timely flow of production and assembly activities. Compiles and maintains inventory and status information to expedite movement of parts, equipment, and materials according to schedule and priorities. Locate and coordinate and expedite the flow of raw materials, in-process materials and components within the plant. Verify and maintain documentation such as job shortages, planned receipts and logs. Coordinate planned receipts of materials through appropriate channels to ensure delivery. Provide information to various departments regarding materials status. May be tasked with performing ancillary duties related to shipping and receiving such as receiving and unloading trucks and preparing outbound shipments and loading trucks for disposition of customer products.
Duties Include:
Reviews EPIC or other manufacturing work instructions and schedules to assist in improving workflow and ensuring correct orders are being expedited and worked on at all times.
Assists supervision with workflow to/from departments, following up with and pulling work from other areas as needed.
Monitors Order Alerts, Holds, Pulls and responds.
Special focus on small batch work.
Verifies and expedites missing numbers to forms recovery process
Performs general mail clerk duties including hand stuffing, metering, accumulator and verifications.
Work hours - 7 am-7 pm, Thurs - Sat and e/o Sun. Work 4 days one week and then 3 days the next.
Required Experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Must have excellent attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
Basic math skills
Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Excel proficiency is required
Excellent prioritizing and organizational abilities
