Mgr Business Development Naval and Area Mission Defense (NAMD) Business Development Undersea Warfare Manager The Business Development (BD) Undersea Warfare Manager for the Naval and Area Mission Defense (NAMD) product line will serve as a Business Development lead representative directly responsible for identifying, qualifying, and winning new business and keeping current business sold for NAMD undersea warfare programs. The NAMD product line plays a critical role in achieving RMS financial goals. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the NAMD organization achieves all financial metrics related to bookings and sales, building the new business pipeline, managing customer and key government entity relationships, and identifying and managing proposals. As a NAMD BD Representative this individual is responsible for managing key customer relationships and facilitating strong working ties between the NAMD programs and the government communities our products support. In this capacity the selected candidate will serve as the voice of the customer to program leadership, facilitate senior leadership/customer interactions, and effectively message program concerns and constraints. This individual will assure open dialogue between the NAMD team and the customer community, driving effective partnership. The selected candidate will represent the interests of NAMD to the domestic and international customer base. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires a minimum of a current, final Secret security clearance with a current investigation date on the first day of employment. A current investigation is defined as an investigation not older than five years. Major Responsibilities Ensures the NAMD organization achieves all financial metrics related to bookings & sales as stipulated by the NAMD Business Development Executive In partnership with the NAMD BDE, analyzes and manages operational reports and program status with regards to new business initiatives and providing analytical recommendations on management path forward when warranted Develops and implements strategies for generating new customers in both domestic and international markets as a means to achieve core growth and adjacencies Performs strategic planning, customer interface, and opportunity development Understands customer capability gaps, determines the optimal solution space, and shapes customer needs/requirements Identifies and mitigates barriers to business by addressing issues from the customer perspective Builds and maintains customer/industrial partner networks at all levels, particularly with senior officials Effectively messages NAMD business drivers, constraints, and operating rationale to key customer stakeholders Develops win strategy options, conducts internal reviews, and prepares capture managers and technical leads for pursuits Develops recommendations for new business investment expenditures Develops technology requirements (IRAD/CRAD) to support new business capture Performs win/loss analysis and related process improvements Required Experience, Skills & Education 12 years of progressively responsible career experience, demonstrating the ability to acclimate to increasing levels of responsibility Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Engineering, Economics, and Political Science/International Affairs) Current DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance U.S. Citizen Direct knowledge of the customer base and mature relationships with other senior government and military leaders and industry executives Proven track record of customer engagement and relationship-building Expertise and success in participating on captures Experience with various acquisition approaches Ability to negotiate, influence, manage risk, and conduct competitive assessments Exceptional interpersonal skills Success in developing and leading complex teams Understands financial business models Be a self-starter, take initiative, have high energy and a passion for developing new business Desired Experience, Skills & Education Current DoD Top Secret security clearance (or active within last five years) preferred Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other advanced degree Familiarity with Raytheon business units and internal complexities Sufficient technical background to adequately represent NAMD products Strong working knowledge of NAMD products throughout their lifecycles Senior level experience with Federal agencies operating in naval weapons market or equivalent corporate business experience Demonstrated networking capabilities among various communities, e.g. acquisition officials/leads in the DoD and other government agencies Experience working with Federal acquisition process Business acumen and ability to conduct analyses of new business models and alternatives as a means to drive efficient and profitable revenue streams for NAMD in changing environments This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization. 120951BR 120951
