Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies is recruiting for a Manager, Media Relations to be located at J&J U.S. location, or remotely from within the U.S.

The Manager, Media Relations and Strategic Communications will support the development, evolution and successful communication of the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies’ media relations strategy, and support and execute logistics of PR programs, administrative tasks and basic writing and editing to ensure successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorming, planning and executing key JJMDC proactive media strategies

  • Partners closely with key colleagues including within the JJMDC business, Corporate Media Relations, the Office of the Corporate Secretary and other key internal stakeholders to finalize, submit and gain timely approval of key JJMDC press releases

  • Maintains strong understanding of current industry, market and technology trends affecting the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices reputation, franchises and brands

  • Maintains strong media relationships and key knowledge of media segments; i.e. top-tier, consumer, key trades

  • Supports development of content regarding Medical Devices business strategy/vision, including core messaging materials (presentations, talking points, message maps, media fact sheets, digital content, etc.)

  • Understanding of media monitoring platforms including Cision and can pull together best in class summaries/analytics of media activations

Qualifications

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 4 years of related experience.

  • Brainstorming, planning and executing key JJMDC proactive and reactive media relations strategies

  • Partners closely with key colleagues including within the JJMDC business, Corporate Media Relations, the Office of the Corporate Secretary and other key internal stakeholders to finalize, submit and gain timely approval of key JJMDC press releases

  • Maintains strong understanding of current industry, market and technology trends affecting the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices reputation, franchises and brands

  • Maintains strong media relationships and key knowledge of media segments; i.e. top-tier, consumer, key trades

  • Supports development of content regarding Medical Devices business strategy/vision, including core messaging materials (presentations, talking points, message maps, media fact sheets, digital content, etc.)

  • Understanding of media monitoring platforms including Cision and ability to pull together daily media monitoring reports

  • Ability to pull together best in class reports detailing media activations

  • Self-starter with proven project management skills, good judgment and demonstrated ability to solve problems

  • Desire to be an effective team member and to contribute proactively to group success

  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of leadership

Other:

Travel of up to 10% may be required.
