About This Role

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer?

Do you have large scale processing plant experience?

As a technical specialist, you will provide advice and support to the Process Area Dry and wet plant Superintendents, Supervisors and Maintenance personnel for the resolution and improvement of equipment performance, maintenance issues and asset integrity.

In This Role You Will:

  • Manage Equipment and Maintenance improvement Projects.

  • Support, plan and handle (as required) equipment overhauls.

  • Manage and maintain engineering records and documentation for classified plant, process equipment and infrastructure.

  • Manage and maintain engineering records, site technical standards, site standards drawings and specifications.

  • Ensure that all statutory requirements are met for the ongoing operation and maintenance of equipment in the process plant and associated areas.

  • Provide technical feedback and support on the resolution of equipment warranty issues.

  • Facilitate and participate in root cause investigations into equipment failures as required.

  • Provide technical feedback and participate in developing Condition Monitoring System for critical equipment and machinery.

Your Skills, Training & Experience Checklist:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years post graduate experience.

  • Formal qualification or significant experience in Fixed Plant Mechanical Engineering and design.

  • Significant engineering experience with in a large scale complex processing plant specifically Primary and secondary Crushers, Ball and Verti Mills, HPGRs, Conveyors, Flotation, Thickeners, Presses, Pumps, Pressure Vessels, Cranes (monorails portal, gantry, etc) including QA/QC processes/methodologies for plant overhauls/repairs.

  • Strong maintenance knowledge and experience including Precision alignment and fitment, Hydraulic systems, lubrication, materials selection, Maintenance management systems, CM Systems and techniques.
