Would you like the opportunity to work with a leading team on the groundbreaking GPS Ground Control Segment Defensive Cyber Operations Team?

In this role, you will:

- Support the Space Cyber Engineering organization by providing defensive cyber operations expertise to the GPS ground system

- Maintain the GPS Defensive Cyber Operations Tool Suite as a best in class solution

- Assist the program with secure architecture design and resiliency

- Develop thorough reporting to the customer on findings with mitigation steps that fix difficult problems

You will typically have:

a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional experience for this role.

You will need to have an active final secret security clearance. Thus you are a citizen of the United States .

This is for a Mission Essential role requiring 12 hour shifts and potential holiday commitments if on call. This position is on a floating holiday schedule and located at a government facility.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience monitoring a network for security breaches and investigating violations when they occur.

- Proficient in the use of software associate with firewall and encryption program used to protect sensitive information.

- Experience preparing reports that document security breaches and the damage associated with said breaches.

- Experience with penetration testing.

- Experience developing security standards and best practices to facilitate sound security principles.

- Solid understanding of Defensive Cyber Tools such as Splunk, Snort, Bro, & Wireshark

- Solid understanding of Red Hat Enterprise solutions such as Red Hat Identity Management, Red Hat Satellite, & Ansible Engine

-Understanding of TCP/IP and common protocols such as SSH, HTTP/S, DNS, S/FTP, DHCP, LDAP, or SNMP

- Basic understanding of VMWare architectures

- One or more DoD 8570 Cyber Certifications

Desired Skills:

- Extensive experience in one or more cyber domains, such as network security architecture,

defensive cyber, software security, security, forensics/IR

- Experience with Cisco & Juniper network device configuration

- Experience in space, ground and vehicle architectures

- Broad background in information security tools, concepts and issues across a broad range of technologies

- Familiar with secure information system design and architecture
