UnitedHealth Group Clinical Program Manager (Behavioral Health) - Washington Telecommute in Washington
The overall purpose of the Clinical Program Manager position is to supervise a team of licensed or unlicensed staff (depending upon the specific team function) in the coordination of care for consumers moving from higher to lower levels of care. The manager is to ensure that the team is functioning at optional effectiveness and efficiency by continuously monitoring team performance and taking corrective action when necessary. The manager should be a mentor and role module who encourages the team to strive toward excellence and professionalism.

Manage a team of licensed clinicians andnon-licensed staff (either in office or telecommuters) in order to deliversound clinical decisions and quality documentation to customers
Work closely with the Behavioral Health productExecutive Director and the health plan professional team, psychiatrists andother clinical staff to ensure that all clinical services are implemented andmanaged based on state of Washington requirements and regulations
Work closely with the Quality ImprovementDirector and Systems reporting staff to identify and address the clinical needsof individuals accessing behavioral health services
Support utilization management objectives forboth facility-based and outpatient care
Prepare reports and analyze data in order tocoach team to meet metrics successfully
Identifying trends and interventions as neededin a positive, change oriented environment
Ensure the timeliness and appropriateness ofthe services provided by the Care Managers and to ensure that clinical reviewactivities are conducted in accordance with OptumHealth clinical guidelines andcare coordination processes
Local and state travel 10-15% or as needed
Managing projects and interventions frominception to completion
Ensuring engagement of staff through managementof ongoing training, performance management, coaching and mentoring

Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work,Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or a BSN RN with 2+ more years ofexperience in psychiatric nursing
Possesses an active, independent, andunrestricted licensure in the state of Washington
Must reside in the state of Washington
5+ years of behavioral health experience postlicensure
5+ years of management and/or leadershipexperience
Proficient in Microsoft Applications to includeWord, Excel and Outlook
Very strong communication skills both writtenand verbal
Ability and flexibility to assumeresponsibilities and tasks in a constantly changing work environment
Strong oral and written communication skills —specifically telephonic skills
Must have a designated workspace and access tohigh speed internet capability via cable/DSL service
Experience working in managed care/priorauthorization
Dual diagnosis experience to include mentalhealth and substance abuse
Knowledge of evidence based best practiceguides
Experience managing field based/telecommutingemployees
Knowledgeable of community resources
Experience working with Medicaid populations
