In this position, your responsibilities will include development, automation, and technical/analytic support of claim and enrollment reporting. You will participate in regular team meetings with IT and business stakeholders to discuss details of the application development lifecycle. You will be managing complex data flow, querying reporting tables and views, and researching multiple data entry points in order to produce high quality, fully customizable reports. Our business objectives contain both long-term project work and regular individual production tasks to exceed the reporting expectations and data needs of our customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Use your operational analytical skills to design, develop, program, maintain, and publish reports and reporting applications

  • Work in a fast paced and flexible environment where priorities shift week to week.

  • Collaborate with IT and translate technical information into non-technical business explanations

  • Meet with business partners and gather reporting requirements, offer recommendations and different options to meet their reporting needs

  • Lead multiple projects of varying size and complexity and mentor teammates

  • Be self-motivated and creative as you will deal with some very interesting and complex issues

  • As a key resource to others you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to always meet deadlines

  • Work as a part of a virtual team

Required Qualifications:

  • BA degree

  • 3+ years of experience writing and interpreting complex Oracle SQL statements using multiple tables, subqueries, and analytic functions.

  • 3+ years of experience performing significant data analysis and report development

  • Intermediate level of programming knowledge (reporting code) of relational databases, database structures and design

  • 3+ years of experience with MS Access 2010, or higher, and have the ability to create queries connecting to multiple data sources, manipulate datasets, and apply forms using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience developing reports in Crystal Reports or comparable business intelligence tools

  • Experience with SAP BusinessObjects, Central Management Console, and InfoView for user administration and report distribution

  • 2+ years of experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)

  • Experience in the Healthcare industry (i.e. medical claims) a plus

  • Experience writing and assessing formal business requirements documents.
