We are currently looking for a Intercompany Accountant for our Wauwatosa, WI Corporate location.

The Intercompany Accountant will report to the Senior Accounting Manager.

DESCRIPTION:

JOB TITLE:

Intercompany Accountant

OBJECTIVE

  • This role reports to the Sr. Accounting Manager and has no direct reports.

  • This position works cross functionally in support of the business operations.

  • Ensures all Finance activities and month end close activities occur timely, accurately in accordance with corporate policy and requirements.

JOB DIMENSIONS

  • Works collaboratively across the Bostik organization team to effectively monitor Intercompany Transactions are recorded timely and any collections issues addressed.

  • Partners with Business leaders to communicate month end SGA (Functional Spending) ensuring accuracy of information reported.

  • Works with various members of the finance and business team to appropriately support business needs.

ACTIVITIES

  • Intercompany Accounting

  • Responsible for understanding, evaluating and recording all intercompany transactions including products and services.

  • Actively communicates and collaborates across the organization to understand the intercompany transactions and ensures they are recorded timely and accurately.

  • Monitors the loan and deposit account transactions and communicates transactions to impacted parties.

  • Identifies and escalates issues with intercompany transactions to ensure timely resolution.

  • Loads ICS tools and reconciles with all IC partners.

  • Completes Line 31/28 Analysis & Reporting - (Parent company/Inter-company charges).

  • Prepares Month end Trial Balances for Arkema Reporting (CORE).

  • Controls all aspect of Canadian entity reporting including payroll and journal entries.

  • Account Reconciliation Preparation

  • Perform account reconciliations as defined

  • Streamline and consolidate accounts where appropriate

  • SGA Business Partner

  • SGA (Functional) business partner responsible for communicating month end results including month end analysis and communication of results to business leader.

  • Actively partners with the business function to understand their function, headcount and overall costs

  • Collaborate with business leadership in annual budgeting process and ensures data integrity and accuracy of budget process

  • Special Projects

  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities

  • Collaborates with BPO to help define organizational improvements and enhancing best practices.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

  • Occasional travel domestically and internationally as needed - approximately < 10%

  • May require working outside of normal business hours to meet deadlines

  • Supports the site EHS policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements

  • Participates in EHS activities provided by site management and Bostik, Inc. (e.g., Puresafety, etc.)

  • Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents

  • Practice safe work habits, in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines and Bostik specific EHS requirements

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Education: BS or BA in Accounting ,or Finance with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP/ IFRS Accounting Standards

  • CPA/CMA Preferred

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and decision making capabilities

  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, project management and communication skills

  • Operates with integrity and high degree of confidentiality with intellectual property, technology and other confidential information/knowledge acquired in position.

  • Demonstrates proactive interest and ability in solving problems and best ways to approach tasks

  • Actively drives organizational process improvement
