Job Description

We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.

Position Description:

Within Value Chain Management (VCM), the Project Lead will work under the direction of the Value Chain Leader and will support key projects and teams as assigned. VCM is accountable for our Manufacturing Division product strategy in alignment with our Manufacturing Division And our Human Health Division brand/franchise goals as well as for leading continuous improvement of the product supply chain.

VCM work is strategic by definition, spanning the entire life cycle of products, stabilizing the ongoing business through appropriate risk management, and designing the supply chain for the future. The position is highly integrative and requires project management skills to prioritize and drive results. The role also requires team building skills as well as exceptional strength in communications.

Primary activities:

  • Support a Value Chain Leader or Product Leader in end-to-end value chain management in the long term time horizon and the objective of establishing the strategic direction and key areas of focus for assigned products

  • Support development of Product Master Plans which define comprehensive global product strategies, including lifecycle management and/or lead the development of product master plans for assigned portfolio.

  • Project manage the priorities from the product master plans that drive portfolio/network value creation opportunities to maximize brand assets.

  • Support VCMT subteams as required to manage tactical execution or analysis support.

  • Supports product leader in running the Value Chain Management Teams (VCMT) composed of cross functional representation from end-to-end functions including Commercial, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Technical Operations, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, External Manufacturing, and other related groups as appropriate

  • May lead or support End to End Product Risk Assessment for assigned products or supply nodes including risk assessments, identification & prioritization of mitigation strategies, development of recommendations and alignment of sponsorship to execute.

  • Engages in resolution of global product disruptions where long-term strategic supply chain alternatives need to be established: Develops and implements action plans with appropriate escalation and sponsorship.

Position Qualification:

Education Minimum Requirement

  • BA/BS Required (Engineering, Science, or Supply Chain Management) with a minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience

Required Experience and Skills

  • Project Management skills or certification preferred

  • Expansive cross functional skills and business/management/operations experience, knowledge of the functions that support the business including: Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, Compliance, Manufacturing Operations and Commercial Operations

  • Strategic thinking and ability to assimilate highly complicated and multi-factored inputs into an integrated plan

  • Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions and influence direction in ambiguous situations

  • Proactive mindset and ability to look outside the assigned role with an eagerness to identify and engage in opportunities to improve value chains and related business processes within the organization

  • Cross divisional project management skills with geographically diverse teams

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge of “Best Practices” in Supply Chain Management

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification
