ManpowerGroup Materials Planner/Coordinator III in Westborough, Massachusetts

What is the job?
· The planning associate will provide day-to-day support for purchasing and planning activities critical to inventory, production, and delivery. Work closely with the production planner, buyer, warehouse staff, QC, and production team to ensure smooth material movement into the plant, through manufacturing, and to distribution. Provide input and support for process and data improvement initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
Assist with material ordering, availability, and scheduling
Printing/managing jobs, work orders and manufacturing records
Prepare work orders for production
Expedite and prioritize orders through the production process
Ensure systemic accuracy of inventory/WIP
Create purchase orders and communicate with suppliers
Rescheduling materials for pull ins and push outs
Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution
Assist in cycle count efforts as required
Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts
What do you bring?
· Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Supply Chain)
Strong oral and written communication skills
Computer proficiency
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills
Desired Characteristics
Oracle knowledge and experience
Six Sigma Green Belt
Ability to work independently
Working knowledge of MRP
