The Global Digital Marketing Manager oversees and leads the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies and plans across the Industrial Biosciences business unit. Partnering closely with both industry marketing teams and regional communications, the successful candidate will be able to operate in a rapidly evolving environment, be commercially-oriented, have a high attention to detail, and have the capacity to both think and do. S(he) will understand user experience, be a self-starter, have good judgment, and be able to effectively lead both internal and external teams to ensure the effective implementation and success of digital initiatives.

This individual will consult with internal clients on the effective use of marketing tactics such as websites, SEO/SEM, campaign management, lead scoring, social media, email, and mobile to support and achieve business goals. S(he) will be expected to know how to generate and measure customer engagement across the purchase funnel, counsel business communicators and marketing managers on how to best leverage content across multiple channels, and help translate those needs into actionable briefs and plans.

Core responsibilities

  • Partner with internal business clients (especially across marketing and communications roles) to define, develop and execute an integrated digital strategy for assigned industry segments

  • Build, grow and optimize digital marketing programs to acquire new customers, increase retention, and help drive marketing qualified leads and sales funnel opportunities

  • Develop digital strategy briefs, digital plans, and project implementation documents

  • In collaboration with IT and other business partners, own and manage the Industrial Biosciences digital ecosystem of tools and platforms, including: content management, eCRM, email marketing, marketing automation, social media monitoring, asset management, analytics, customer extranets and internal collaboration. Responsible for platform governance, training, and maintenance.

  • As Global Customer Privacy leader for Industrial Biosciences, champion customer data privacy across the organization to ensure adherence to corporate policies and legal/compliance around the collection and use of PII (personally identifiable information) for both prospects and customers.

  • Counsel business communications managers on how to create and define compelling stories that can be told via digital assets and engage and inspire desired action

  • Be a digital consultative resource and subject matter expert for all digital marketing activities and ensure adherence to corporate policies and overarching digital standards.

  • Review new technologies and keep the internal business clients at the forefront of developments in digital marketing

  • Enhance collective team knowledge of digital marketing capabilities to ensure digital becomes endemic within each DuPont Industrial Biosciences industry segment

  • Lead analytics efforts to better understand (prospective) customer digital interactions, draw insights, and help the team identify optimization tactics, and adjust strategies accordingly

  • Engage with digital marketing leaders across the Specialty Products Division to share learnings, best practices and consider consistent adoption of new tools and processes.

  • Experience in digital marketing focusing on customer acquisition, engagement, and retention

  • A creative and analytical mind, with the ability to set strategic marketing direction and deliver solutions

  • Work on cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple stakeholders

  • Test hypotheses with data and constantly improve performance

  • Communicate directly and succinctly across multiple organizational levels

  • Be highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot inefficient, unreliable processes

  • Deliver on multiple deadlines and priorities as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  • Familiar with technologies common to a marketing enterprise stack; ability to learn new tools quickly

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • 8-10 years of progressive digital marketing experience

  • Good writing skills

  • Broader communications experience is desirable (e.g. internal comms, media relations, marketing comms, content development and management)
